Booneville - George Zambory, 79, husband of Betty Jean Zambory, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. George was born in Aliquippa, PA on November 20, 1931, to the late George and Mary (Monchak) Zambory. He was a member of the Indian Creek Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with the Sturgeon Mining Company. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, 6 daughters; Julie Ann (Ed) Weinberg, and Lois Jean Gomola both of Punxsutawny, PA, Phyllis Jean (Robert) Gabbard of Nicholasville, KY, Sandy (Gary) Woods of Manchester, KY, Dawn (Bret) Jackson of Lexington, KY, Denise (Donnie Joe) Million of Booneville, KY, 2 sons; Joseph (Carolyn) Zambory and George (Sandy) Zaombory both of Punxsutawny, PA, 1 sister; Ann Zambory of Phoenix, AZ, 1 brother; Steve Zambory of Kankakee, IL, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 1 son; Philip Gabbard, 2 sisters; Mary Binder and Martha Zambory, 2 grandsons; Brian Keith Gabbard, and Jason Weinberg. Funeral services along with Military Rites from VFW Post # 11296 will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at The Booneville Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Powlas officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at The Booneville Funeral Home. George will be laid to rest in the Esau-Gabbard Cemetery, Ricetown, KY. Zion, Kenneth

Kenneth E. Zion, age 84, of Alexandria, KY {*son of James & Maggie Judd Zion} passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at his residence. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a former Foreman for Lingo Manufacturing. He was also a long time member of the Bob White Club. Mr. Zion is survived by his wife of 61yrs, Shirley Mae (nee Farmer) Zion {*daughter of Ernest & Ethel Lynch Farmer}; daughters, Carol Clarkson and Linda Chandler; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October, 29, 2015 from 12pm to 1pm with the Funeral Service immediately following at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Zion, Sam

Booneville, KY – Sam Zion, 80,died January 10, 1991 after a long illness. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge # 939 and a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of World War II and an Owsley County native, the son of the late James and Maggie Judd Zion. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Lutes Zion, Booneville, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Martz, Cold Springs, Kentucky: Mrs. Ruby Wilder, Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Zion, Alexandria, Kentucky and Earl Zion, Belleview, Kentucky. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Powlas officiating. Burial in the Shepherd Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
